Slim-Fast Recall: Alert for Bacillus Cereus Found in RTD Recalled by the FDA
The FDA just issued a Recall of the Ready to Drink Slim Fast milk-based liquid shakes that are contaminated with a micro-organism known as Bacillus Cereus.
Dispose of any of these Slim Fast cans or return them to the store where you purchased them from and they will manage them properly.
Just in case you once again trusted that your food supply from traditional companies would be safe and ingested these Slim Fast shakes; then there are things that you can do immediately if you are experiencing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Drink plenty of purified water, especially a structured alkaline water that has been ozonated or enhanced with oxygen which will help with eliminating the pathogenic bacteria. You can add Nutri-Biotic drops to the pure water to be sure to denature the little Bacillus.
Apply the Essential Oils of Thyme, Lemon, Rosewood, and other therapeutic grade EOs to your skin and that will change the bio-energetic field in a suitable manner to over-ride the frequency signature of the micro-organism.
A few sips of Liquid Ionic Silver, Copper, and Zinc will further assist in eliminating the bacteria from your digestive system.
Drink some organic Peppermint Tea to settle your tummy and go lightly on any food for a day or two. You can make a fruit juice Pudding from Kudzu Root powder and this will firm up your stools and put an end to any diarrhea.
Miso soup and vegetable soup for the next few days will soothe and placate your digestive system. Other foods that provide digestive enzymes are also excellent choices, like papaya and pineapple. Some coconut milk yogurt will replenish the intestinal flora and restore a balance in your system.
Avoid dairy products like milk and take this opportunity to try some soy milk or rice milk or almond milk as natural and healthy alternatives.
Next…pledge a change in your choice of drinks. Slim Fast is not the healthiest drink on the market. Take a stroll down the aisles of your natural health food store and our online store where you will find more appropriate beverages that will taste good, help you maintain your ideal weight, and replace meals without risking future food safety issues. Although there is no guarantee, these fine companies most likely test each batch BEFORE they are shipped out to the retail stores for the presence of pathogens. Food safety will continue to be a very important issue that you just can’t afford to ignore.
Here are a few Links to beverages which we feel will be worthy of your consideration.

I also find So Delicious coconut milk kefir, a non-dairy beverage with 10 live/active cultures to be very tasty and nourishing. They even have dollar-off coupons for it on their website (under the “rewards” menu). Info on the kefir can be found here: http://turtlemountain.com/products/coconut_milk_kefir.html

The nutritional value of ingredients consumed in commonly eaten foods today is minimal compared to what your body needs to function. Essential elements for health have been stripped in favour of economical demand, resulting in more chemical enhancers, preservatives, additives and contaminants in your food and drink. Even your water and the air you breathe contain pollutants.
