Dr. Oz Sued For Microwave Rice in Socks For Warmth to Help With Insomnia

The elderly and incapacitated idiot who over-heated his socks in the microwave and then left them on too long without monitoring his body’s response is actually filing a lawsuit against Dr. Oz. I would imagine that the judge would simply throw the case out of court as a frivolous lawsuit – it is.

Lawsuit Against Dr. Oz Treatment For Insomnia

When you cannot sleep at night, you will try anything to get to sleep. While heating uncooked rice in a microwave is not the strangest method for warming the feet in a hot sock, it is one way to accomplish the task at hand. The application of warmth for a short period of time is soothing, it is a viable solution when performed correctly.

Booties have been designed to be heated and retain that heat at stable and reasonable temperatures to offer relief by improving circulation and relaxing the muscles to quiet the body in order to fall asleep more easily. While I would not personally let the heated medium, in this case, uncooked rice, to be put directly on the skin; if the rice were to be contained in a bootie or specially-designed sock to give a layer of protective fabric between the hot rice and the skin – then it would be effective and safe.

When you are stupid enough to forget to check the temperature with your hands before you apply the sock to your feet – it begs the question, “Should you be treating yourself when you are cognitively-impaired?”

The obvious answer is, “NO”!

This old fart should have known better! If the bath or shower water is too hot for comfort and you foolishly step into the scalding water and burn yourself, are you going to file suit against the plumber or construction company for installing hot water in the bathroom? No…

This dummy’s legal issue is ridiculous and insufficient to proceed on the basis of merit by a long shot. But that won’t stop the hungry shark lawyers from trying and wasting time and money when holistic means will work when properly utilized by professionals or intelligent men in their 70s.

In the future, Dr. Oz would be smart to suggest reliable brand names of booties designed specifically for this purpose. He needs to realize that there are idiots who will do things the wrong way and blame him instead of taking personal responsibility for their actions. We can issue a ‘warning’ to all the old geezers out there with insomnia, before you try to put the heat on Dr. Oz, try putting your hands on the hot booties to ‘feel the heat’ and decide if it’s too hot or not for prime time on the footsies!

There’s nothing quite like a little common sense to prevent burns or other signs that idiots were not paying close attention to basic principles of temperature and time. Twenty minutes is not half the night! One minute in the microwave is not the same as five minutes when heating uncooked rice without enough water. Two minutes of cognitive analysis is better than ten seconds of mindless maneuvers!

Furthermore, try soaking your feet for twenty minutes in the bathtub before crawling in bed at night. Drink a cup of chamomile tea, apply a few drops of Lavender or other Essential Oils to your temples and wrists, take a little melatonin, put on a sleep mask, apply a few Restful Sleep Holographic Chips to your PJs, and turn off the lights and TV.
