Dr. Oz: Anti-Aging Secrets of Models and Healthy Skin Care Ideas

Dr. Oz had several well-known models appear on his show to discuss the ways that they have maintained their beauty and youthfulness. These anti-aging secrets that were shared works for people who are willing to do smart things on a daily basis that promote healthy skin and general good health internally which becomes visible in the appearance of your face and complexion. Healthy skin is a result of a health Lifestyle. The more that you take good care of your entire body.

One of the models talked about Raw Foods and Dr. Oz actually admitted that his family is exploring more of the foods that are wonderful when eaten raw. The model had discovered chocolate…or raw cacao and was utterly delighted, just as you can be! Raw Foods enthusiasts maintain that when you don’t use extreme heat when preparing food; they are able to get the value of the nutrients of the food, the enzymes, and the protein complexes much more readily. Personally, I have never met a person who was overweight or obese that had learned how to eat healthy raw food dishes. The soaking of nuts and grains, the use of avocado, the combination of unique ingredients make interesting and tasty dishes that will never be boring, if you take the time to make them properly. It does demand many more hours in the kitchen and more care in food preparation, but it’s worth the extra effort. Check out David Wolfe…or find a MeetUp group in your area.

One of the skin care methods that one model uses is a big ‘no-no’. Do NOT use petroleum jelly on your skin regularly. If you need a moisture barrier for a day or two, yes it works for that. However, if you expect your skin to breathe and enjoy healthy respiration; then you do not want to put petroleum jelly on your skin. The Tamanu Oil is an excellent choice as are others natural organic oils. Nut and seed oils can be used both topically and in one’s diet…and they are commonly found in natural cosmetic products. Cod Liver Oil and other fish oils are going to supply the lipids that your body uses to keep the skin supple. Coromega is the best tasting of the fish oils. You can also derive the benefits of flax seed oil and olive oil for maintaining the health of the skin.

I was pleased to hear the models shy away from extreme surgical procedures to maintain their external appearance. They do depend upon a healthy diet and daily cleaning and care of their skin.

By the way, later in the episode a woman suggests that you make a big batch of quinoa and freeze and microwave it when you’re ready to eat. But…that’s ridiculous when it only takes a short time to boil water, make the quinoa and eat it fresh every time. You cannot be THAT busy to need to freeze and then microwave your food. If that’s the case, make a Lifestyle change in order to have the time to prepare fresh food. No microwaving…

The most important health idea that the models shared with Dr. Oz was about good water to keep the skin hydrated. This is more important that you may realize for the health of the entire body, it just happens to show on your skin when you are chronically dehydrated. Be sure to find the best source of water and don’t settle for anything less…
