But the fact is that they agreed more than they disagreed. It is more a matter of symantics and points-of-references to the scientific research than opinion or experience.
It all got back to ‘Lifestyle’…
Both doctors agreed upon the relevance of a healthy Lifestyle as the biggest indicator of the health of an individual.
In many ways, even if a person was overweight, it didn’t mean that they were necessarily unhealthy. Likewise, even if someone were a little thin, it doesn’t mean that they are not at risk due to a larger percentage of body fat than their peers.
Most people listening to these two debate some of the finer points of medicine and measurement, they undoubtedly got lost in the shuffle. However, what became clear after the dialogue was that Lifestyle weighed more heavily in the equation for health than did an arbitrary calorie count or poundage.

While obesity can not literally be considered to be an epidemic, it was refreshing for some statistics to reveal that the numbers have been leveling off, instead of rapidly rising. Dieting is not the solution to weight management. A healthy and sustainable food program is the real road to a healthy Lifestyle.
