The View, Elizabeth, and Jamie Oliver: Tell It Like It Is! School Lunches Need to Be Revamped
Elizabeth talked about Jamie Oliver and last night’s revealing episode on The View this morning.
Whoopi challenged the Mayor of Los Angeles to be accountable to the children and the parents in his area and get Jamie into the schools. I stand with both Elizabeth and Whoopi on this!
The school administrators should be ashamed of themselves. If they are threatened by having to be accountable and transparent to the public who is watching Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution on TV; then man up!
You need a wake up Call! The parents and the children and those of us who have to watch the health of this generation deteriorate in front of our eyes implore you to make the necessary changes to the school lunch and snack and beverage programs.
Do it now!
Your day is coming, if you ignore this message. It is my ardent hope that if you fail to make these changes to provide healthier food to our children; then there should be some severe repercussions for you.
If my children were still in school, I would remove them from your public school and put them into private schools. Guess what? That’s what we did… And they thrived!
They don’t get sick. They are healthy, smart, and strong. They eat whole foods and will never go back to consuming processed foods. It’s only a matter of time before other families follow suit.
Your schools will not have the tax base or the attendance levels. Your best teachers will go to better schools. You’ll be out of the running and you’ll have destroyed your reputation, just for trying to maintain the status quo and save a few pennies on processed food.
Ridiculous and totally unnecessary…
So…Jamie. The ladies of The View and my family are behind you 100%. Don’t give up and keep on keeping on for the benefit of this generation.
